KOSPI, KOSDAQ fall on Monday amid COVID-19 pandemic

코스피, 또 3.2% 급락…1,710대로 후퇴

South Korea stocks plunged again on Monday,... rattled by the U.S. Federal Reserve's surprise rate cut.
South Korea's benchmark KOSPI fell 3-point-19 percent to close at around 17-14.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ lost 3-point-72 percent to end at roughly 504.
Starting today, short selling is banned in the Korean markets for six months to protect companies from the economic blowback of the coronavirus pandemic.
The length of the ban could change based on future conditions.
This is the third time South Korea has enacted such a ban,... the first time being in 2008 and the second in 2011.
