The sound of my youth. I just love these. I'm going to let Ben Bailey (JJ's) describe these because he does it FAR more eloquently than me:

"Something big happened to Aussie music in the late 1970s. With the arrival of larger PA systems, amps and the first hotted-up aftermarket guitar pickups, Aussie Pub Rock gained a new hard edged sound.

JJ's Guitar Pickups APR-1 (Aussie Pub Rock) Humbucker set are our take on that sound. We've had many requests for more power, so we tweaked our traditional Sovereign Humbucker recipe and produced a powerful, calibrated set. For the first time in our Humbuckers we've used Alnico 4 for some solid, chunky bass, rich mids and sweet treble. We wound offset coils with Plain Enamel wire for a classy PAF sound with a woody pick attack. The neck pickup is open and clear for singing solos, it's never boomy. The bridge is a raucous riffing pickup with power to chug riffs all night long. Treble and clarity are always retained, as you've come to expect from JJ's Guitar Pickups.

Pile on the gain to taste and these pickups will cut through on any stage while they remain clear and responsive."
