I Made Myself Arch Mage robes as a Halloween Costume!
Tools I used/ Items you'll need:
A sewing kit which includes:
Sewing Machine (mine is a Babylock Companion 1550)
Pinning needles
Sewing needles
Two colors of thread
Wax thread (for the belt)
Lighter
Pliers
Materials:
Plastic based fabric (I believe mine was vinyl)
Soft lining fabric
Three shades of 2" wide ribbon
1 cm wide ribbon
(Optional) Grommets, eyelets, or zipper
Button clasps
Leather carving/ Stamping kit
1/8 " thick leather
Leather Dye
Leather sheen
Leather lace
Belt Buckle
Hammer
(Optional) Dremel
Xacto Knife
A good cutting surface and marble slab
One shell bead
Several plastic gems
Faux fur or Tassel Trim
Smooth cast liquid plastic
Two part liquid rubber
Two part epoxy
Resin/ Epoxy pigment dye
Plastic paints in black and metallic
(Optional) Torch for popping air bubbles in Epoxy
Chain necklace (If you make the amulet)
