Finally running multiple trains after getting some inspiration when I received an excellent 4TC unit and researching their use and watching videos of them working between Waterloo and Weymouth. Being pushed from the London end by a formidable 4 or even 8 REP EMU to then detach at Bournemouth where a Class 33 or even Class 73 was waiting to pull the 4 TC to Weymouth Harbour, through the streets and to the ferry terminal. TC standing for Trailer Control so that the reverse procedure from Weymouth with the diesel loco at the back could be driven from the front cab of the class 438. I don't have a 4 REP so a 4 CEP has to do!
The other 'running' was with 2x Hornby 4VEPs (the original 8 pin DCC ready models) now fitted with HM7000 TXS which means you can create a consist in the HM7000 app and run two together as one. These models are over 20 years old now and the tiny wheel tires are getting hard so they both loose their grip on some parts of the railway but combined, they work very well.
Finally I let the Class 101 and 159 diesels have a run around.
