National Indigenous History Month 2021 is in June and we started the month reeling after the remains of 215 children were found in B.C. at the site of a former Kamloops Residential School.

But is this just a problem from the past? What can we do right about it right now?

In this excerpt from her longer interview, Charity discusses suggestions for how to help indigenous communities in your area. Indigenous mental health issues are largely rooted in the trauma they have faced as a result of what happened at the time of residential schools.
