Exploring COWDARY RUINS | West Sussex

In the first of a two-part Video from Midhurst in West Sussex, Al and I meet up with Kevin Hall, who takes us around the historic Grade I Listed Cowdray Ruin. The House consists of the ruins of one of England's great Tudor houses, architecturally comparable to many of the great Palaces and Country Houses of that time. We also look at the earlier fortified Manor Ruin built between 1273 and 1284 by Sir John Bohun that is situated on a Hill. Bohun He named it ‘Coudreye;, the Norman word for the nearby Hazel Woods.
