This video examines the “almost S-gauge” sized toy trains marketed by WowToyz.com (believed to be manufactured by a Chinese company named ‘Fenfa’).
WHY THIS VIDEO: These inexpensive trains may be of interest to S gaugers for kitbashing, and also as gifts for young children -- since they are close in size to what S gaugers claim is “the ideal model railroad scale”.

C. ~~~~~~ DESCRIPTION OF TRAINS: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~|

These Wow Toyz trains are an inexpensive, but nicely-proportioned toy -- made for children, battery powered, with plastic track.
They are of a fairly "lightweight" construction, so be advised that they may BREAK if kids are allowed to ABUSE them during unsupervised play.
These trains have a GAUGE slightly WIDER than S gauge, but the bodies are smaller . . . possibly closer to 00 gauge ??
The cars will run on S-Helper service track, and can be run very slowly on vintage American Flyer track.
The Wow Toyz locomotives will not run on either S gauge track, probably because of their wider gauge and their fast speed.

PRICE-Diesel Set: The diesel set shown in the video was $13.98, and includes the diesel loco with headlight and steam sound :-) ,1 passenger coach, and a circle of track.
* PRICE-Steam Set: The steam set shown in the video was $36.95, and includes the steam loco with headlight and steam sound, tender, 1 passenger coach, 2 freight cars, a station platform and 4 trees, and an oval of track with 2 turnouts and a 90-degree crossover -- as seen the in the video.
