Epic Road Trip Across Flores Indonesia | Travel Documentary

We have 11 days, one small scooter and a big road trip ahead of us as we take on the ultimate adventure of driving across the underrated island of Flores Indonesia to discover the natural wonders, cultural history, beautiful remote villages and diverse landscapes that make this trip one of the best we've ever had in Indonesia. Most people come to Flores from Bali or Lombok to visit the famous Komodo islands, but there's so much more that this island has to offer that many travellers rarely see. From the unique Kelimutu volcano to traditional Manggarai and Belaraghi villages and endless blue beaches, join us on an epic trip across Flores island and let's discover another side to Indonesia you can't find anywhere else.

Our day trip included: private boat, snorkelling gear, bbq lunch, water, national park entry fee. Day trips and overnight camping trips are possible, make sure you negotiate with your driver to get a fair price.

Places we stayed on our trip:

WL Guesthouse (Labuan Bajo) - $16 USD a night (friendly people and amazing place, we left our large luggage with them while we did our road trip)

Karleta Homestay (Ruteng) - $12 USD a night (including dinner and breakfast)

Cinnamon Guesthouse (Bajawa) - $9 USD a night (including breakfast)

Mahakali Lodge (Kelimutu/Moni) - $13 USD a night (including breakfast)

Sunset Cottages (Maumere) - $12.5 USD a night (including breakfast)

Bintang Wisata Riung (Riung) - $18 USD a night (including breakfast)

Accommodation prices in Riung are higher than anywhere else we visited in Flores, this was one of the cheapest rooms available when we visited.
