This was back when WJZY (and WMYT) were owned by Capitol Broadcasting Corporation in Raleigh, owners of WRAL and WRAZ. They had a news share agreement with WBTV to produce a 10pm newscast.
At some point, the news moved to WMYT and later back to WJZY after both stations were sold to Fox and the news share continued until the beginning of 2014 when Fox launched their own news as a Fox O&O.
Nexstar now owns WJZY/WMYT and runs the news department as "Queen City News"
