Finally! Area 419 S Series Die - Is This The One?

After many, many months of waiting, I finally have the Area 419 S-Series die in hand for my 6 Creedmoor!! It took a while and too much patience, but it is here! Now, will this be the answer to my concern and become the one die to rule them all? Let's find out!!

I have been doing the normal process for a while now. Size all my brass with a quality bushing full length sizing die. Then I run it all right back through my press using a Cortina mandrel die. Great results, I am very happy with the outcome. But, I have to do the entire process twice for every piece!!!
That was sucking on my time, and I have very, very little to spare.

I saw this announced by Area 419 in the fall and I have been emailing them and waiting and waiting for it to finally drop. It did!! Then my first one had a nick in it and they had to send me a replacement, lol. All good, I was busy that weekend so I just waited a few days to get it all going. They are excellent when it comes to customer service! I really appreciate that in a company these days.
So, I will be changing my rifle barrel this week, I don't want to size too much of this brass now. The idea is just to get a look at the set up, and see if my current lube process will work. And find out the neck tension from the mandrel they provide. If I need to change it, I will have to order the full mandrel kit, which is an additional 145 bucks!! Hoping to avoid that right now, lol.

So, I will have to change the depth of the die when I get my new barrel broken in and start sizing this brass to load for that chamber. It is likely there will be some slight variance. Should be close though!!
But, as you can see from this video, the needed information works out in my favor. Process is good, lube works well the way I have been doing it, and the neck tension is right in line with my previous die! Very happy to see this!!

Let me know what else you want to see from this die. I am happy to show it off and answer what I can. I am very pleased to see both actions done in a single run of the ram on my press! Cuts my brass prep time in half for this step!! And results look like they are going to be in line with what I have now, so load info should be really close to the same it is. So far, it's looking like this is going to do exactly what I hoped it would!
