BMC चुनाव से पहले संजय निरूपम ने उद्धव ठाकरे और राज के कदमों पर तीखा तंज कसा। उन्होंने कहा कि मुंबई में खतरे बढ़ सकते हैं, कुछ दल वोट के लिए जिहादी मानसिकता वाले लोगों से समझौता करने को तैयार हैं, जबकि भाजपा ऐसे लोगों को हराएगी। साथ ही संदीप देशपांडे की भाषा की भी उन्होंने आलोचना की।

Ahead of the BMC elections, Sanjay Nirupam launched a scathing attack on Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray. He said that threats could increase in Mumbai, and that some parties are willing to compromise with people with a jihadist mentality for votes, while the BJP will defeat such elements. He also criticized Sandeep Deshpande's language.
