Infiniti G37 Differential Bushing Replacement

The G37 is prone to having the rear differential bushing fail at some point. Mine failed at around 75K miles. I have a 2008 G37S coupe with a manual transmission. The behavior in my case was a jerky transition when shifting between 1st and 2nd gears as well as a visible leak on the differential cover, which indicates the rear bushing having ruptured because it contains some type of fluid. There are many aftermarket options in differential bushing replacement. I decided to go with a full polyurethane option from z1motorsports.com. This option will cost you under $100. My local dealer here in SoCal won't replace just the bushing, but rather they replace the entire subframe that contains the bushing. This will run you just under $3K! I decided to do the job myself which took approximately 6 hours to complete.
