3 things to STOP doing with email

Whenever I poll my audiences, the biggest complaint I receive related to email is when people hit REPLY TO ALL. Not good.
But in today’s video I want to review 3 other bad habits, in the event you see yourself in one of these.
1. Stop copying your boss on every email. He or she already knows of your brilliance and there’s no need to pollute their Inbox with unnecessary emails.
2. STOP emailing on the weekend. Give others – AND YOURSELF – personal time away from the office. If you are in a supervisory role, your subordinates may feel as if they HAVE to respond to an email that comes in after hours or on the weekend. Be assured that the world won’t end nor will your company close its doors if you decide to wait until Monday to conduct business.
3. Stop writing long, rambling emails. Everyone gets too many emails these days and most admit to simply skimming emails which means your long and detailed emails aren’t even getting read. Really.
