"Law and Order" Hypocrisy | George Carlin

Why does "law and order" only seem to apply to street crime? Too often when talking about crime, law and order, the focus is placed exclusively on street crime while completely discarding the harm caused by white-collar crime. Often by the same people who directly benefit from white-collar crime. Who claim to be all about law and order, while at the same time breaking the law and sowing disorder. This speaks directly to that contradiction and double standard.

"These are the "law and order" people. These are the people who are against street crime. They want to put street criminals in jail to make life safer for the business criminals. Yeah, they're against street crime provided that street isn't Wall Street."
