Korean Reading Practice Ep.1 (4 passages, NO ROMANIZATION)

Read 4 Korean passages with me at difference speeds with onscreen text!

Try reading by yourself first, then read along with me to check your pronunciation (especially batchim). This may be slightly tricky for beginners who just learned to read Korean, but try reading Korean words without the romanization.

Follow my normal and slow speaking pace to practice different sound changes.

This method is called shadow reading, and it’s a great way to improve fluency and sound like a native!

Listen carefully to the sound changes that occur in batchim words.

Passage 1
저는 자주 편의점에 갑니다.
편의점 안에는 많은 물건이 있습니다.
빵, 우유, 그리고 따뜻한 라면도 있습니다.
저는 보통 빵과 우유를 사먹습니다.
가끔은 라면을 사서 즉석에서 먹습니다.
아주 편하고 재미있는 장소입니다.

Passage 2
저는 주말에 공원에 갑니다.
공원에는 많은 사람이 있습니다.
아이들이 축구와 농구를 합니다.
어떤 사람은 책을 읽고, 어떤 사람은 음악을 듣습니다.
저는 벤치에 앉아서 빵을 먹습니다.

Passage 3
제 방에는 책상과 침대가 있습니다.
책상 위에는 공책과 펜이 있습니다.
침대 옆에는 작은 등이 있습니다.
밤에는 음악을 듣습니다.
제 방은 작지만 아주 편안합니다.

Passage 4
저는 시장에서 김치와 불고기를 삽니다.
가게 앞에는 많은 사람이 줄을 섭니다.
어떤 가게는 빵을 팔고, 어떤 가게는 옷을 팝니다.
저는 오늘 과일도 샀습니다.
시장은 항상 시끌벅적한 장소입니다.
