Here I share a tour of a small corner of my studio that I recently gave a little makeover - a space built almost entirely from what I already had.
The focus here is on functionality over styling and aesthetics (sorry, I haven’t rainbow coded my books or tools). I show the tiny tools I use constantly, how I store them using reused and improvised solutions, and how this setup supports the actual rhythm of my sewing.
There can be so much pressure to buy new organizers or upgrade your space, but my process I share here is all about paying attention to what makes your process easier (especially when you only have short pockets of time to work!).
If you have kids, a full-time job, limited energy, or a studio that has to coexist with real life - so nearly all of us?? - this is a look at how small, thoughtful choices can make the work more accessible without buying more stuff.
