Presented in conjunction with the spring 2019 exhibition “Cuenca: City of Spanish Abstraction” at the McMullen Museum of Art, Boston College. In this film, Cuenca artist Jordi Teixidor explains the role of the city and his fellow artists in the development of the Museo de Arte Abstracto Español and its donation to the Fundación Juan March in 1981. The Fundación Juan March has stewarded Fernando Zóbel’s legacy by expanding the collection, renovating the buildings, and organizing innovative exhibitions and publications.
