Stanway is a romantically beautiful example of a Jacobethan manor house on the western escarpment of the Cotswolds, changing hands only once since the dark ages. In this feature length documentary, Robin Shuckburgh & Ross Arrowsmith gain exclusive access to this ancient estate accompanied by the unique and knowledgable insights of its custodian, the Earl of Wemyss & March.
Join us for a tour through the house discovering its fascinating history, learning how the family weathered the storms of war, how the house was altered and added to, and how its beautiful water gardens were developed - and how they're being preserved today.
With the highest gravity fed water fountain in the world, some beautiful outbuildings, hundreds of panes of ancient glass and packed full of period furniture, this is a unique window into history, showing perhaps the finest example of a Cotswold Stately Home.
Open in June July and August on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2.00pm till 5.00pm.
