Long Xie, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the School of Communication Science and Disorders, speaks on “The Ups and Downs of Aging Brains: Using Precision Imaging to Map Brain Organization in Older Adults.”
Dr. Xie’s research involves understanding how age-related changes in auditory and cognitive functions limit speech understanding and translating this new knowledge into clinical strategies to improve the outcomes of older listeners, especially those with cochlear implants.
Dr. Xie, a Faculty Affiliate of FSU’s Institute for Successful Longevity, gave his talk September 26. 2023, as part of the ISL Brown Bag Series of 2023.
