When Matthew Bryce went out surfing in the North Channel in spring he had no idea what a terrifying ordeal was about to unfold. Caught by changing winds and turning tides, Matthew was swept out to sea, 16 miles from the coast, where he then spent 32 hours clinging desperately to his surfboard. Preparing for the worst, Matthew felt certain he would never see his loved ones again. But, as the sun rose over the North Channel off the Argyll coast, Matthew was rescued. Now, as he prepares to head back into the water, we have a surprise for him, reuniting him with the people who saved his life.
