Symphony in Focus (Ep 5) - Erika Lopez

Soprano and VSO Chorale member Erika Lopez takes the spotlight in Episode 5. Erika is also the Assistant Choir Director at Morris Middle School in McAllen and has been singing for as long as she can talk!

Reflecting on her experience on stage, she shares, "It's more so an opportunity to do what you love rather than an opportunity for someone to judge you. The best things in life happen outside of your comfort zone, and it's very important to be in situations like that because that helps you grow."

SYMPHONY IN FOCUS is a captivating and intimate series of short, stylized documentaries that delve into the lives and passions of the members of the Valley Symphony Orchestra. Each episode will feature a different musician, offering a glimpse into their personal journey, their role in the orchestra, and their reflections on the deeper themes of art, music, community, and performance.
