Thanks to smaller and lighter bearings (82g) and one already in the XTR well-proven sealing system, the new bottom bracket are both lighter and more efficient rotation and therefore provide only the improved fouling resistance for more speed.
Visually, the new XT bottom bracket is identical to the SM-BBR60 for Ultegra Hollowtech II crankset FC-6800! For the installation is the adapter tool TL-FC25 inclusive. The Tool is made of plastic and should to make regular maintenance, can be exchanged for a decent tool. Matching different tools linked above in the description!
The MT800 is compatible with all 24mm cranksets Shimano. I combine the XT bottom bracket with my FC-M552 crank that I have converted to a 1x11 crank.
