Make a Difference with Love & Courage

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this week I’m sharing a stamp set that is especially close to my heart—Love & Courage from Stampin’ Up! This beautiful set is part of the Making a Difference product line for 2025. In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through three handmade cards using the Love & Courage stamp set. You’ll see how to make a simple background design, a stepped-up embossed card, and a thoughtful thank-you card. These projects use minimal supplies and can easily be customized for any level of crafter.

Card 1: Simple Stamping – Hope and Love Background

The first project focuses on simple stamping and creating your own background using the “Love” and “Hope” images in Pretty in Pink and Strawberry Slush ink. A sunflower adds a cheerful focal point, and you can step it up by die cutting your sentiment or fussy cutting the flower for extra texture.

Card 2: Embossed Elegance – Friends Don’t Let Friends Fight Cancer Alone

The second card steps up the design with the Beautiful Designs Embossing Folder, available in November 2025. I’ll show you how to partially stamp and emboss the sunflower, wrap ribbon across your panel, and add the sentiment “Friends don’t let friends fight cancer alone.” It’s the perfect way to send strength and love to someone in treatment or recovery.

Card 3: Thank You – Supporting Me Through My Battle

The final project is a heartfelt thank-you card that expresses gratitude for the people who supported you through difficult times. Using embossed layers, ribbon, and the sentiment “Thank you for supporting me throughout my battle,” this card is ideal for showing appreciation. Change the ribbon color to represent other cancer awareness causes and create cards of support for any situation.

Embossing Folder: Beautiful Designs

Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pretty in Pink, Tuxedo Black Memento

Card Base: Pretty in Pink, 8½" x 5½", scored at 4¼"

Cardstock: Basic White (cut to various sizes)

Adhesive: Stampin’ Seal+ or Liquid Glue

Optional: Ribbon, Wink of Stella, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals
