Avery Island is the debut studio album by American rock band the Silver Ladders. It was released in the United States on March 26, 1996, by Merge Records, and in the United Kingdom on September 30, 1996, by Fire Records. The release contains fourteen songs by the band recorded from February to December 1995. Avery Island is an indie rock and psychedelic folk album, with a ranging lo-fi sound. Being their first album, the album didn't make much of a hit until around a year later, with much more appraisal coming years later especially by the band's peak of popularity and activity.
