Hiking in Switzerland | Lac de Cleuson and Bisse de Chervé | Swiss Alps Canton Valais | 2020 (4K)

Wonderful autumn hike through colourful larch forests to the majestic lake Cleuson. We started our hike early morning at the Siviez rest area before sunrise. The ground was frozen from a cold night but after a while, we reached the larch forests and the first rays of sunlight reached into the valley. We continued to climb up and towards the barrage of the lake Cleuson. After a steep incline we reached the top of the barrage and had a magnificent view over the lake and snow-covered mountains surrounding it. We followed the path all around the lake and up the flank until we reached the high altitude trail and the Ancient Bisse de Chervé. From there we followed the challenging trail back and all along the way, we had a stunning panorama view on the mountains. After a while we reached Chervé where the path diverts and we followed the trail down to the valley. After hiking through more colourful larch forest we finally arrived back at the rest area at Siviez.

Tour itinerary
Our hike starts at the Siviez rest area (1727m). We follow the path towards the Cleuson barrage until we reach the Cleuson lake (2179m). From there we continue along the lake and towards furthers point of our hike at la Gouille (2355m) where we reach the beginning of the Ancien Bisse de Chervé. We follow the trail until we reach Chervé (2261m). There the path down to Siviez branches off from the trail. After a long descent, we arrive back at the Siviez rest area (1727m).
