How We Spent Our Honeymoon in Japan! New Years in Tokyo, 1st Long Haul Flight & Ichiran Ramen - Vlog

We’re back and we’re MARRIED!!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas wedding and then promptly (like literally the next day) left on our honeymoon to Japan! Thank you to our amazing friends and family for supporting us all throughout our relationship and into our marriage.

We left bright and early from San Jose, California, and flew 11h and 30min to Narita airport near Tokyo. On this trip, we spent ten days in Tokyo, Kyoto, Takayama, and Tokyo Disney. We have been DREAMING of going to Japan our whole relationship so it felt so good to finally get to go. It was such an amazing, culturally emmersive experience.

Today, we arrive on New Year’s Eve and start exploring Tokyo. We start with checking in to the Park Hotel Tokyo and enjoying Ichiran Ramen for dinner — which is a booth-style ramen experience where you can dine with as little social interaction as you’d like.

Although we did not make it to midnight, we enjoyed our walk around the city and around Tokyo Tower at night. We shared our initial thoughts on the differences between Japan and the U.S.—noticing all the unique characteristics of each culture.
