FIRST TIME at Buttonwillow "The Circuit" w/ Randy Pobst

From our headquarters in Hawthorne, California, to the all-new “The Circuit” track at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Unplugged Performance hit the road for a weekend packed with serious R&D, learning, and pure track fun. Behind the wheel of our vehicles was none other than legendary race car driver and longtime friend, Randy Pobst.

This video takes you behind the scenes of our journey. It all began Thursday morning at our Hawthorne HQ, where we met up with Randy before caravanning out to Buttonwillow. After setting up camp, we geared up for Friday’s big shakedown.

With private track access at our disposal, we made the most of the opportunity—testing multiple vehicles with pro driver Randy Pobst pushing them to their limits. The Model S Plaid “Dark Helmet,” Model 3 Performance “Red Rocket,” and Model Y Juniper all took to the track, demonstrating the full capabilities of Unplugged Performance suspension, brakes, aero, wheels, and Yokohama tires.

Throughout the weekend, we captured in-car footage, drone shots, driver commentary, and valuable performance data—part of our ongoing mission to engineer excellence and elevate the Tesla platform to new heights. This trip was all about gathering data, refining setups, and testing in real-world, high-performance conditions. Lap time records? That’s the next step.
