Part 3 of my custom rear hitch receiver build for my Mercedes Sprinter (custom chassis = no bolt-on hitch option).
In this episode I:
Fabricate mounting brackets and reinforcements
Weld the brackets/reinforcements onto the bumper structure
Finish welding the top and bottom plates — everything gets welded all the way around
Next up: I’ll be cutting the receiver opening with a plasma cutter and building the hitch receiver tube that ties into this reinforced bumper setup.
