Welcome to Day 18 of our Spoken English Course!
In this lesson, we’re focusing on two useful grammar forms:
1. Present Perfect Tense (How long have you…?)
2. Present Perfect Continuous Tense (have/has + been + verb+ing)
These tenses help you talk about actions that started in the past and are still happening now or have just recently stopped. You’ll learn how to use both correctly and confidently in conversations!

🔹 Present Perfect (How long…?):
• How long have you lived in this city?
• I have lived here for 5 years.
• She has worked at that company since 2020.
🔹 Present Perfect Continuous:
• I have been learning English for 3 months.
• He has been watching TV since morning.
• They have been waiting for the bus for 30 minutes.

🎯 Practice Task:
Write two sentences in the comments:
1. One using “How long have you…?”
2. One using Present Perfect Continuous
Example: How long have you been learning English? – I have been learning English for 6 months.

Use “for” + a period of time (2 hours, 5 years) and “since” + a specific point in time (Monday, 2018, morning).
