Here you can see the arrangement of the hair lengths. The shortest hairs are in the contour, the
longest hairs are on the top of the head. Note that the hair in the neck contour is slightly shorter and
the top hair is slightly rounded.

Start with a cross parting. First do a middle parting, called A-axis, then another parting from ear to
ear, this is called B-axis.

Before you pin the hair, section off a 2 cm wide section along the hairline. Make sure it is parallel to
the contour. Do the same with all 4 quadrants.

are horizontal, the combing direction in the natural fall.

Start the haircut at the front contour. Comb the hair in the natural fall, positioning your fingers
horizontally without lifting the hair. Work from the front contour to the center of the neck. Then
proceed in the same way on the opposite side.

Now tilt the head slightly forward and continue working. Comb the hair in the natural fall, fix it with
the comb and cut with the scissors under the comb. This way you avoid tension on the hair and

Work the negative solid shape to the level of the middle of the ear. Then position the head upright
again, continue to divide horizontally, comb the hair in the natural fall, grab it again with the fingers
and cut until your divisions reach the lower vertebrae area.

you can pull your horizontal sections through to the front contour line. Then work one side first, then
the other.

Comb the hair on the front of the head in the direction of the sides. This procedure is called combing

Now the only thing missing is the slight rounding of the lengths on the top. This technique is called
positive solid shape.

To do this, divide in a star-shap, starting from the highest point of the head. Comb the hair
horizontally and position your fingers vertically. Make sure that you remove only the outermost ends
of the hair, otherwise your solid shape will be lost.

When you reach the ears, change your star-shaped parting pattern to a vertical one. Combing
direction and finger position remain the same.
