FABRIC STORAGE BOX AND THREAD CATCHER

In this tutorial I teach you how to make a Fabric Storage Box Thread Catcher. Have you ever been sewing, cut your threads, only to discover that you missed your trash can? It has happened to me so many times, more than I can tell you. This nifty little thread catcher is the answer to any quilter or sewer’s thread problem. You can keep it close by, near your sewing machine so that when you clip your threads you can just drop them in your fabric storage box thread catcher.

These Fabric Storage Box Thread Catchers have many uses beyond the sewing room. They can be used as Easter Baskets, storage for a Christmas Gift or for bubble bath gifts. The sky is the limit with this storage box, you just have to use your imagination.

Supplies Needed to Make A Fabric Storage Box Thread Catcher:

2 pieces of fabric cut 18” X 18”
1 piece of Interfacing cut 18” X 18”
1 piece of batting cut 18” X 18”
1 piece of cardboard cut 7” X 7”
1 piece of fabric to cover cardboard 9” X 9”
Glue
Thread
Sewing Machine
Clips or Pins
