On 8 July 2025, H.E. Emmanuel Macron and Mrs Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron made an official visit to the United Kingdom, where they were received in a formal ceremony by His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla.

0:00 - The welcoming ceremony was held on the lawn next to Windsor & Eton Riverside, with the Band of the Household Cavalry having the honour of playing La Marseillaise to welcome the President.
3:03 - The reception was held again at Windsor Castle Quadrangle, with the Band of the Grenadier Guards having the honour of playing La Marseillaise to welcome the President, and for the first time, two battalions of the Grenadier Guards and the Scots Guards were present.
4:16 - The Band of the Grenadier Guards played the patrol song l'entente cordiale composed by John Henry Keith, The Entente Cordiale, or Friendly Understanding, was signed on 8th April 1904 between the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Lansdowne, and the French Ambassador in London, Paul Cambon, largely on the initiative of King Edward VII. It brought a formal end to many centuries of conflict between the nations and much of it was designed to settle long-standing areas of dispute. over trading rights with North Africa, The Far East and Canada. It also formed the basis for Anglo-French co-operation during the Kaiser's War. The Entente Cordiale inspired marches on both sides of the English Channel.
