Louise Mirrer has been President & CEO of the New‑York Historical (NYH) — New York’s oldest museum. since 2004. Under her leadership, the Society underwent a $100 million renovation, built a Children’s History Museum, inaugurated a Center for Women’s History, and launched innovative exhibitions covering topics from slavery and civil rights to immigration and democracy. She also created educational initiatives like the Saturday Academy, the Graduate Institute on Constitutional History, civics programming for sixth graders, and naturalization prep for green-card holders. Mirrer has received numerous awards, including YWCA “Women Achievers,” New York Post’s “50 Most Influential Women,” and the Merrill Award. Appointed to Moelis & Company’s board in 2024, she brings over 40 years of academic and non-profit leadership experience. She was also named an Honorary Fellow of Wolfson College, Cambridge in 2007 and is a Council on Foreign Relations member.
