A new type of International conference and exhibition on Smart Technology for Sustainable Development and Procurement (STS&P 2017) was held at Songdo Convensia from Nov 30 to December 2.

It aimed to provide ideas on how to overcome serious hunger, poverty, disease and environmental contamination worldwide.

"Korea is the only country in the world that has grown from OECD beneficiary to a donor". "It is meaningful that the international exhibition was held in Korea that used to be an U.N. aid beneficiary", Chairman of this event(Member of National Assembly), Min Byung-doo said.

The goal of the STS&P 2017 is to expand technology and procurement enterprises for sustainable development placing top priority on Asia and Africa.

Palafox(President & founder, Palafox Architecture) said that Korea plays a significant role in assisting poor countries adding that there are many things that the under-developed countries should learn from Korea.

Dr. Brian J, Grim(President and founder RFBF) stressed in an interview that we should promote peaceful and inclusive societies for development and strengthen the means of the means of implementation and revitalize the partnership for sustainable development.

It contributed to set up a platform for small and medium sized firms, startups and smart technology developers from various countries to meet potential buyers, procurement staffs and distributors and investors, Secretary general of the organizing committee, David yoo said.

Amid nine UN organizations and 250 booths from 100 firms participated in the event, the exhibition closed it's three day session. "we are positively inviting international development organizations, NGOs and multinational firms", Yoo added.

In a closing ceremony on Dec 2, Kim Young-jin(Chairman of World- KIKA) presented a peace medal to Dr. Brian Jr, Grim(President and founder, Religious Freedom and Business Foundation/son of Korean war veteran) to express deepest thanks to his contributions for global peace. A peace medal designated by Obama Administration is made from barbed wire fence of DMZ and bullets from Korean war veterans cemetery.

STS&P exhibition is planned to be held regularly every year.
