Word problems involving the Pythagorean Theorem-Geometry Help

In this video, I go over directions for solving word problems involving the Pythagorean Theorem.
Example Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems

Word Problem 1 A ship leaves port and travels 100 km due east then turns due south and travels 75km. How far from port is the ship? Solution= Draw a triangle from the measurements and use the Pythagorean Theorem in order to find the hypotenuse. The hypotenuse will equal the distance the ship is from port.

Word Problem 2 Find the perimeter of a triangle.
Use the Pythagorean Theorem in order to find the perimeter.
