This video is made to help ʻōlapa or any physical hula dancer stretch out those muscles that are used the most when dancing. Stretching helps the dancer with mobility and flexibility making sure that every motion is executed perfectly. Instructed by one of Hālau o Kekuhi's kumu hula, Huihui Kanahele-Mossman, with the help of one of our young ʻōlapa, this video demonstrates a routine of stretches for those who have knee problems and issues while dancing hula. We hope this video benefits ʻōlapa dancers and maybe others as well. Stay tuned for strengthening your body and hula conditioning.
