Indigenous Hip Hop Projects partnered with the Shire of Ngaanyatjarraku to assist in establishing a Youth Leadership Council in Warburton. We worked with a core group of young people who were trained up as part of the IHHP crew and then toured with us to the surrounding communities of Warakurna and Blackstone.
The young leaders took on the responsibility of being part of the IHHP crew and delivering dance workshops and messages around self-respect, empowerment and no-shame. We were so impressed by the way this group of proud young Indigenous people stepped up and worked as a team:
