Presented against a monochrome ornamental garden inspired by the film Last Year at Marienbad, the collection featured over 80 looks accompanied by a live orchestra. Classic Chanel codes were reimagined with fabrics distressed by ragged edges, selvedge finishes, and perforated lattices. The tailored suit appeared as A-line jackets with three-quarter sleeves, styled with shorts as often as skirts.
Other key elements included dégradé chiffon florals, monochrome tweed patchwork, unfinished feathered edges, and a closing series of black lace dresses detailed with coq feathers. The finale featured an apricot feathered gown worn by Carmen Kass, adding a striking contrast to the predominantly black ending sequence.
At the end of the video, interviews feature creative director Karl Lagerfeld and celebrity guests including Keira Knightley, Claudia Schiffer, and Alexa Chung.
