No model flying this day, but five of us built a 16 foot bridge at Wawayanda, updating a weathered bridge on the east side of the field. The bridges are crucial for allowing us to chase from field to field across the many irrigation ditches that are important to the sod farm and surrounding crops. We didn't expect to see rockets this day, at the crossroads no less, but it added to the flow of the day.
Sponsored by NASA, and part of a scholastic competition with 70 teams, there were three teams at Wawa, hoping to make it to the finals later this year in Huntsville, AL. West Point, U. Mass, and Stony Brook U. were competing today. Well done!!
