Jrue Holiday in 2020 ran a defensive masterclass with the Pelicans. Although his efforts were not rewarded in the form of an All-Defensive appearance, here are some stats from that season:
4.1 deflections per game - 2nd in the NBA
109.9 defensive rating with Jrue on the court
112.2 defensive rating with Jrue OFF the court
Too confusing? Well, here’s the easiest way to look at it in a greater context: the Pels were 15th in the league defensively with Jrue on the court and 22nd in the league with him off the court.
6th in the NBA in both steals and blocks among guards
