WCW Souled Out 2000 is one of the more noteworthy WCW PPVs of the year due to the amount of changes that were made in the run-up to the show. Bret Hart was scheduled to face Sid Vicious in the main event but Bret had to forfeit the World Championship due to the injury he sustained at Starrcade 99, and Jeff Jarrett also pulled out of the event due to an injury suffered on Nitro. Vince Russo has also walked out of the company, a group of hard working midcarders are also ready to leave immediately after this event, so it's pure chaos in World Championship Wrestling. The new creative team (headed by Kevin Sullivan) make a ton of changes to this show; Chris Benoit is now facing Sid Vicious for the vacant WCW World Championship and Billy Kidman is now competing in the triple theatre (against members of the Revolution).
