The Indian Defence Forces have stopped the operations of the entire fleet of Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv in the wake of the accident off the Mumbai coast on March 8. All Dhruv helicopters have been grounded as precautionary measures until investigators find out the reasons for the accident. An Indian Navy ALH Dhruv was on a routine flying mission off Mumbai when it experienced a sudden loss of power and rapid loss of height. The pilot carried out controlled ditching over water, and all three aircrews exited the helicopter safely. Dhruvs are being operated by all three defence forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with the Indian Coast Guard. Watch this video to know more.
