Rakaia Fire, Police & Ambulance On Scene (Truck vs Camper)

Police were notified of a crash involving a truck and a camper in Rakaia, just past 10:30am Monday. The driver of the camper drove in front of the tanker which then the crash occurred.
Fire crews, an ambulance, & operations manager from Ashburton were on scene. Which has left three people moderately injured.
All volunteers, police, and medical staff coordinated to ensure the situation was managed efficiently. The tanker was successfully removed from the area, minimising any further risk to traffic.
Meanwhile, the camper was carefully towed by 6433 off the road, close to the roadside, in preparation for towing.
