Our First Time Visiting BGC During the Day! And It's Raining!!!!

EP 157 | First Daytime Visit to BGC 🌆🇵🇭 | Manila Rain Starts + Chinese Food Stop

Back in the Philippines again — this time with my wife, Abby — and we decided to visit Bonifacio Global City (BGC) during the day for the very first time. We’ve been here before, but always late at night or past midnight, so we were excited to finally see what BGC is like under the sun.

The plan was to walk around and explore the modern streets, art, and coffee shops BGC is known for. But as soon as we got started, the weather turned on us — the rain began pouring heavily. Later, we learned it was the start of a two-week rainy stretch in Manila, thanks to two typhoons hitting one after another. Talk about timing!

Not wanting to get completely soaked, we ducked into a Chinese restaurant to wait out the rain. Warm food, a dry table, and watching the streets bustle under umbrellas — it wasn’t the BGC exploration we planned, but it turned into a nice little moment to just sit, eat, and talk.

With no signs of the rain stopping, we decided to cut our trip short and head back to our home base in the Philippines. Even though we didn’t get the full daytime BGC experience, we still captured a different side of the city — moody, rainy, and a little unpredictable.
