There are many misconceptions surrounding Korean particles 은/는 and 이/가. They are misunderstood by Korean learners and Korean teachers alike. In order to understand these particles properly, we first need to clear up any misconceptions you might have. The most common misconceptions:
01 - If a noun is a topic, then it cannot be a subject (00:24)
02 - 은/는 is a subject particle (01:53)
03 - 은/는 is a topic particle (03:49)
04 - 이/가 is a subject particle (04:32)
05 - First use 이/가 then use 은/는 (06:39)
06 - 은/는 and 이/가 are akin to the/an (07:51)
