Cole and Charisma of Roll with Cole & Charisma I accessiBe's Spotlight Sessions

In this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Cole and Charisma Sydnor from Roll with Cole and Charisma. Cole suffered from an accident at the age of 16 that resulted in a spinal cord injury rendering him a quadriplegic. Cole and Charisma are an interabled couple and became well-known after starting a YouTube channel together, Roll with Cole & Charisma. They started the vlog to bring people into their lives and their relationship, and to raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. They’re all about positivity, inclusion, and keeping a great attitude no matter the circumstances.

Cole and Charisma shared their thoughts on:
1. Cole’s paralysis story, and how Cole and Charisma crossed paths.
2. Their dating journey from where they first met to where they are now.
3. Why using the label ‘interabled’ is actually a positive thing.
4. The biggest myth they face as an interabled couple.
5. Why inclusive language on social media is a must-have.
6. The lack of disability representation in the current media, and how we can move in the right direction.
