The Power of Poetry - with Kacy Garvey, Jamaica

Jamaican poet Kacy Garvey is our guest! Last August, she received the Best International Spoken Word Artist award at the prestigious US National Spoken Word Awards in Chicago. She is also the co-founder and managing director of the non-profit organization JAIKU, which provides a platform for poets in Jamaica and the Caribbean, helping them to establish their craft professionally. Marco and Gofi spoke with Kacy about how she got into writing and what it means to her. We discuss the power of poetry amidst suffering and destruction, and how it can help people come together to form communities. Die jamaikanische Dichterin Kacy Garvey ist bei uns zu Gast!
