Enormous Closets & Jig for Curved Ceiling | Skoolie Build
Wow ~ these double closets will give us mega storage space, right up to the tip-top of our curved Skoolie ceiling!
Mike built a spectacular jig in order to perfectly trace the crazy curve of the school bus ceiling. Then he traced the pattern onto a wooden template, and we used that template to make every "wall" and divider in both of the closets. Mike used the Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig as well as the Kreg Shelf Pin Drilling Jig (though he prefers another brand of pocket-hole clamp, listed below). The closets are built of 3/4" Maple plywood, with sections for hanging clothes, storage bins, and drawers down below. Kerry used Danish Oil because it penetrates and hardens IN the wood, not ON the wood, so it leaves a beautiful, natural finish that will never peel or wear off. The closet doors and drawers will be finished in a later video, so be sure to subscribe ~ and click the bell icon to receive notifications for our up-coming videos!

About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1996 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40" school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty.
We're building a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
Mike & Kerry
