Pyrography Art-Wood burning and colored pencil time-lapse of Japanese Sakura-Cherry Blossoms!
Hanami, (花見, "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. If you ever get the chance please visit Japan during the spring to enjoy the many events and festivals.
I decided to create this piece as a gift for a friend in Japan.
The gift box (keepsake box) took roughly 5 hours to sketch, burn, and color.
For this piece, I am using a TruArt pyrography pen (15/30 watts).
For the line and detail, I used a shader tip.
The colored pencils I used are Marco Renoir, which was a gift from my best friend Brandon.
