In this segment, he departs Dauphin Island airport (4R9) VFR for a number of exercises pilots do when transitioning to a new aircraft type. These include slow flight, power off stalls, an elevator trim stall demonstration (botched go around), and steep turns.
Following the air work, he moves up Mobile Bay to Mobile International / Downtown Airport also known as Brookley Field - a former US Air Force Base that today is home to Continental Motors and Airbus. Brookley provides a long, wide runway to practice normal landings starting with zero / no flaps and working up to the full flap landing which is the hardest in the Comanche.
